Welcome to JHE project homepage,this is project will focus on build a environment for handhelds PC box.
We are know that linux is powerful ,there are instance in the desktop,server appliance and cluster.And we hope
can put linux into my PDA/handhelds PC environment.All of this environment are made by yourself.
 
 

Environment:
JHE is based on Tiny-X environment  and will still focus on this environment,because it's a compact X server that
run top of Linux framebuffer,so you can development your application in your desktop PC that cross-compile it
for your target.Or you can use client-server model to play your application/games on the Internet!
(Becase ,X is network-oriented graphics system,you can run your application on the remote host,then display it
on your handhelds PC/PDA,well,it's really cold.
Let's play game with your friend in the earth.

Functionality:
There are many embedded GUI  in the linux world,included Qt/Embedded,Microwindow,Pocketlinux,OpenGUI....
etc! Those are pretty good in the embedded world,and also,you can development your application in your desktop PC,
then cross-compile it.

But in the Tiny-X environment,most of those embedded GUI features are included,and you can development your applicaion with any library you want,ex:Gtk+,Fltk,Tcl/Tk,Python,Xt,Xlib,java,Qt................!
Also,play this on the remote host,display on your handhelds PC.
 

• Small memory footprint

Tiny-X only takes about 700K flash size and it need about 2-3M RAM when running.
• Learning curve ---Short

It means that you can development your application in your familiar desktop PC,it will short time-to-market.
• Easy development

There are many open-source project in the world,and didn't write your code from scratch.
